One day I was browsing Pinterest and saw a great idea for a quick snack – banana pieces dipped in chocolate. I got intrigued and knew I had to make it, but I had an idea.
One time I saw homemade truffles recipe and thought why not to combine these two and add some protein powder. Yes, I love unflavoured protein powder with no added sugar or artificial flavours. So far, this is my favourite one.
I cook a lot with protein powder. Especially snacks and desserts. By the way, the most popular recipe on iFOODreal are these Coconut Protein Balls.
Second place goes to 15 Minute + 5 Ingredient High Protein Cookies.

These truffles turned out great and are so easy to make. By the way, I dipped some bananas pieces into chocolate as well. They tasted OK, just fine. The photos I saw looked really good but I can’t say I was impressed. Speaking about the power of beautiful photos.
You do not need ripe bananas to make it, in fact it’s better if they are on a firm side.
I used this silicone ice cube tray from Ikea but a traditional rectangular shape cubes tray will work too.
I’m off to Seattle this weekend and will make sure to update you with a post about my trip next week.:)
